Each person in your house can listen to what they want when they want and at the volume they choose. It doesn't matter what the source is, you can listen to it anywhere, and it's easy to control. All rooms playing the same audio, different audio in each room, or any combination in between. Audio sources (cd players, mp3 players, etc.) can either be located in a central location (e.g. hidden in a closet) or in a specific room. This enables kids, for example, to plug in their video games or mp3 players in their own rooms.
